The PRONACA Valle Hermoso Poultry Plant, situated in Santo Domingo, has successfully attained ISO 14001 certification for its Environmental Management System. This achievement signifies a noteworthy milestone, as it marks the inaugural instance in which a PRONACA operation center has attained this significant distinction.

The certification, bestowed by Bureau Veritas, attests to our implementation of an environmental management system that adheres to stringent international standards. This system fosters the sustainable utilization of natural resources and the mitigation of environmental hazards. Among the organization’s notable initiatives are the optimization of water usage, the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions, and the enhancement of waste recovery.

These initiatives have yielded substantial outcomes, prominently including a 10% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, a 12% reduction in water footprint, and a 4% reduction in waste generation.
