The Quito Chamber of Commerce (CCQ) presented PRONACA with the Health & Safety award for its project to include and improve working conditions implemented at the swine processing plant in Santo Domingo.

This initiative has enabled PRONACA to integrate 40 women into various areas of the plant, signifying a substantial increase in female personnel. The project has had a twofold effect: it has strengthened gender diversity in the workplace and improved the work environment, thereby promoting a culture of inclusion and respect.

This distinction was made possible thanks to the collective vision of the individuals involved in the pork industry. The industry has concentrated its efforts not merely on providing products of the utmost caliber, but also on cultivating opportunities for its entire workforce within inclusive and safe environments.
